Create a 2025 Vision Board!

Hey, Y'all! It's Hannah Slater. This week's Girl Chat looks a little different! I am a big goal-setter and wanted to create a vision board this year, so let's jump into it.

First, I got all my supplies; I had a random foam board around my house that was perfect for this! I went and bought scissors, tape, fun, different craft paper, and several different-sized pictures; finding the images that matched my vibes and the aesthetics I was going for definitely took the longest, but was worth it! I also ordered these cute little silver stars. Y'all know I love silver stars, so I felt I had to incorporate them. I laid out all my supplies and sorted my pictures into categories: personal life, SSM, Girl Chat, and NAM. I also printed pink pictures that said "Create that content," "Success," "Growth," "Consistency," and "2025."

After I had everything in groups, I started planning a layout. Before starting, I had no idea where I wanted the pictures to go, so I took them and began placing pictures around the board. Once I got the layout, I started cutting and taping! I started in the bottom right corner.

Bottom Right Corner:

I started with the word "Success." This area is slightly geared towards achieving one of my biggest goals, being crowned National All-American Miss. I have a picture of an airplane and my crown; I know we will be doing a lot of traveling with NAM, and I wanted to have an area that focused on this achievement because I want 2025 to be full of soaking in all the memories and opportunities that NAM will/could have and cherish all of the hard work and dedication it took to achieve this goal. I also have pictures of Ashley Rene's logo and dresses because I would love to model for Ashley this year. 2025 is a year full of new opportunities.

Top Right Side:

I have the words "create that content" in the right corner. I get scared/nervous about what I post because I wonder what people will think or if they will point out all the flaws I see in myself and the pictures or videos that I post, especially today's video..... I want to push myself outside of my comfort zone, create fun content, and record my year with NAM. I want to keep creating content for Girl Chat as well. So, in this corner, I have pictures of a vlogging camera, Girl Chat logo, and a podcast set up.

Top Left Side:

I have the word "Consistency " in this area. This is a huge area that I want to hone in on in 2025. I want to get back to reading my devotionals, Bible Study, and Sunday church. I was doing really well this summer, but the fall hit, and I fell off the routine. I have some pictures of a pink Bible and Bible quotes.

One area that needs improvement is time management and keeping a schedule. My mom got me a beautiful planner that I have started using, and I want to be very intentional about planning and sticking to a schedule this year. I have pictures of color planners.

I have a pretty healthy lifestyle. I eat pretty clean, so I have pictures of fruits and veggies. I know that I will be traveling a lot this year (which I am SO excited about and extremely grateful for), and I know that it can be challenging to eat clean while traveling, So this year, I want to make conscious decisions and eat whole foods while traveling.

Another thing I did well this summer was reading. I read a couple of books that I enjoyed and then got to one that I did not like at all, and then I just stopped reading. So I want to take some time to pick out good books, get into a routine each night before I go to bed, and, for the warmer months, read outside on my deck. I have a picture of a book outside.

I love walking and being outside. I want to continue going for long walks in 2025. I enjoy exploring our trails in Hayward and clearing my mind.

Bottom Left Corner:

In this corner, I have the word "growth." I am super excited that SSM is expanding this year, so I printed out our logo and added a few pictures of flowers. I would love to see our floral shop continue to grow in 2025. This section is under "Consistency" because I want to stay consistent with store flips, Fashion Fix Friday, and all the magic that makes SSM, SSM.

The last two pictures in this corner are pictures of farm-style homes. I would love to build on our family land. I am obsessed with three-season rooms—I want one—and I love wraparound porches, so I included those two pictures. I would love to start the building process in late 2025.

In the final step, I added my silver stars (and realized I had one stuck to my sweater the whole time I recorded), a pink heat that said "You got this" right next to 2025, and a quote that said, "Make it happen. Girl, shock everyone." I cut it up word by word, added pink sparkle craft paper behind each section, and put them in by 2025 as well.

That completes my 2025 vision board!

I had a blast making this, and I encourage you to create a vision board! This is the direction I want to take Girl Chat! More behind the scenes, a day in the life of a small business owner or a day in the life of a florist, what my healthy lifestyle looks like, and, of course, talking about the topics society does talk about.
